I take a few days' break from posting and come back to find that I'm on some kind of WINNING STREAK: first the drawing for a copy of William Hammet's John Lennon and the Mercy Street Café, then four dollars on a scratch ticket (for a net profit of one dollar), and now Lisa at Eudaemonia has awarded me the coveted Pico de Arte. Thank you! I am pleased to be in such distinguished company.I had to do a little digging to figure out what the award is all about, but I guess it originated with the Arte y Pico blog. Here's a description:
[The Pico de Arte is given to bloggers for] inspir[ing] others with their creative energy and talents. This can be through writing, artwork, design, interesting material or contribution to the bigger community. It is a special honour to receive it.
And the rules are as follows:
1. You have to pick 5 blogs that you think deserve this award for creativity, design, or interesting material, and also contribute to the blogging community, no matter the language.
2. Each award should have the names of the winning blogs' authors with a link to their blogs.
3. Award winners' posts announcing the award should include the name of the person who presented it, and a link to his or her blog.
4. Please include a link to the “Arte Y Pico” blog so that everyone will know where the award came from.
I'm passing this along to:
Austin Kleon
Boney Earnest's Suburban Hilltop Revue
Corduroy Books
Cover Lay Down
Word After Word
And special shouts out to my friends and family, whom you can find through my left-hand navigation bar. See friends and family.
Of the 250+ blogs to which I subscribe, these are just a few that I thought should have more readers. I don't pretend to think they'll gain any through me, but even a couple would be something.

They'll have you to blame when I start stopping in and bothering them :)
